FIRE.
Inveecaeoill, This day.
A tire occurred in a brick shon in Dee street owned by the late Mr T. Thomson, and occupied by Mr C.M'Quarrie, butcher. Tho building was completely gutted, and tho stock and fittings were destroyed. The premises wero insured for £250 in the South British ollioe, aud for ,£250 in the Liverpool, London, and Globe. The fittings and .'as engine were insured for £S0 iv the same office. Tho stock was uninsured. The stocks in tho adjoining shops of Mr Geddes (tailor), and Mr Kluglein (bootmaker), were much damaged by water, but ar# covered by insurance. The new water supply is a great success, the fire being extinguished very rapidly.
