An interim dividend of '2s Gd in the £ hae been declared in tho New Zealand Insurance Company. There is a general feeling of disappointment amongst the shareholders that they are not to receive tho S.imo dividend as usual. This is attributable to the numerous losses tho company h.ts sustained during the past half-year, both in the fire nnd marine branches.
