The ship Jessie Roadman, Captain Gibson, arrived yesterday afternoon from Liverpool (Mth September). ' The Customs receipts for December (several small returns yet to come in) amountedto£loG,U9, asagainst£los,o6Sfor the corresponding month last yoar. The beer duty for the same month amounted to £5364 (several small roturns yet to come in) as against £6235 last year. ■ Thomas Smith a very old settler at Horokimi Valley, died on Monday, aged 89.
