There was a good attendance at tho bowling green on Saturday, when the first contest tor the president's trophy was played, Messrs Guy (2 shots) and Yates (scratch) being the competitors. Tho former won easily, Yates playing with very bad luok, the scores being 131 to 13. A scratch match was played between sides ohusoii by Messrs P. Dinwiddie and Williams." In tho first spell tho former had a good load, winning at both rinks. In tho tecoad spell ho had a majority of one at each rink, finally winning "by seventeen thots.
