Mails Close The 8.8. Ilinmtaku will lcavo Wellington for London on Thursday, 27th inst. Specially addressed correspondence (per Rimufcika) for tho United Kingdom, &c, will clobo nt Napier on Wednesday, 2Cth inst., at 6 a.m. This mail will be due in London on 7th February. For the Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, 29th inst., at 6 a.m. Money orders will close at 4 p.m., and registered letters at t> p.m., on Friday, •JBth inst. This mail will be duo in London on Ith February. Tho s.B. Richmond will Icnvo Auckland for South Sea Inlands about 29th inst. The s.B. Kithu will leave Lyttelton for Chatham Islanda about 31st inst.
POST OFFICE HOLIDAYS.
Tuesday, 25 inst. (Christmas Day), and New Year's Dny will be observed as close holiday at all Poet Offices. Mails ÜBually despatched on Tuesday mornings will close at 9 p.m. on previous Mondays, 24th and 31st instance. A delivery of letters will bo made over tho counter immediately after mails are ported by late train on 24th and 31st inst., commencing , at about 9.45. p.m. On .Wednesday, 26th inst. (Boxing Day) the Chief Poet Office will only be open from 9 to 10 a.m., and nil inaila will bo closed at 10 a.m. S. J. JAGO, Chief Postmaster.
