From Wairoa County Council, applying for a renc Mil of the lease to occupy a timber reserve of 1000 acres in the Taratnarama survey district.—The Chairman said the Board did not know what 'quantity of timber the Council desired to take, now or in the future, and it was decided tllftt the Council be written to informJßjf thorn the Board agreed to the cutting of timber, but that a royalty was to bo charged, and the fee arranged upau, but that further information vac desired. Tho Chairman reported that sections 313 and part of '214 which the Board, had agreed at the lasi; meoting to offer for sale had been applied for by the Telegraph Department, and that the Government had diroctod that these should l«- reserved accordingly. That ' application had been reoeived to have a forfeited gracing run, Taramaraina, offered at auction. A declaration of loss of license waw put in by William Ryan, and issue of new one was applied for in terms of section 117, Land Act, 18&1.—Approved, Applications far def'en-ed payment transfern ;—H.
