The authorities have decided to proceed criminally against Peyton, Dowling , and Co. for defrauding tho Customs by. undervaluing a shipment of pianos. ' BOLD ATTEMPT AT ROBBERY. Three men attempted to rob the Bank of Australasia in Collins-street this morning. Two of them uttracted the attention of the clerks by jostling the customers whilst a confederate attempted to take some bundlea'of notes containing £1500 from tho counter. Tho attempt, however, was unsuccessful, and upon the plan failing tho gang decamped. A TERRIBLE PASSAGE. The ship Killochan, from Glasgow to Auckland, was towed into this port to-day, dismasted. She reports having experienced terrible weather off Cape Otway, whore for some tiino tho v.cesel was in great danger.
