Blenheim, This day

William Ramsay, late lessee of the Phaouix Brewery, burnt two months ago, charged with altering tho figures in a receipt given him by Messrs Pickering , and Co., was sentenced to-day by Judge Richmond to twelve months' hard labor in Terrace Gaol, Wellington. Ronowiez, a farmer near Blenheim, charged with stabbing Jeremiah Twohy (who had worked for

him as a harvester) in a quarrel arisingout of wages, was found not guilty. These were the only criminal cases this session.
