In tho Cup I like both Silenco and Salisbury, who are in the same stable, but pick Silence to win : cockboat, Antelope. Hack Race, Othello; Selling Race, Tamahine; Flying Handicap, Tongariro or Golden Crest'; and High Weight Handicap, Premium.
Tho acceptances for the Sydney Gold Cup number twenty, including Arsenal, Carlyon, Aemo, Australian Peer, Oakleigh, Ben Bolt, Bravo, Algerian, Forest Q,uoen, The Nun. Not more than a dozen are expected to go to tho post.
At tho Nelson races yesterday Orient won the Hurdles, Myrtle a*nd Oceola filling tho places. Tho AU-Agod Stakes fell to Forester, Richmond second, Clio third. Orator won the Nelson Cup, Her Ladyship second, und Smooth third. Sweetie won tho Waiinea Plato and District Handicaps, Forester being second in the first-named race.
