Mr Richmond, a nephew of the Judge, practising as a solicitor at TaranaUi, was in Court during the extraordinary washing of dirty linen yesterday, and has sineo decided to settle here immediately. AVilliam Brown arrived by first train from AVuodville yesterday, and will, I suppose, be brought up on remand this morning. The river works of the natives are completed now, so far as turning the water into a more central channel is concerned, but they contemplate more extensive works of which more in a future letter. The matter is a serious ono for the bush residents. In the case Mirbaoh v. Gould, alleged perjury, the Bench expressed the opinion that there was a decided animus between the two parties, and possibly a misunderstanding about tho conversation. As there was no case to go to a jury, the information «.. dismissed.
