SECOND EDITION.
Owners of greyhounds should not forget that the nominations for the coursing match to be held on 22nd June close to-morrow night. The match is confined to dogs the bona fide property of members of the club, exeppt when the owner lives outside the district of Hawke's Bay.
Our Hastings correspondent wires this afternoon as follows:—"The Heretaunga Licensing Bench had a meeting to-day in the Athenmum, MrT. Foreman (chairman). The following renewals were granted:— A. M'Donald, Kuripapanga Hotel; P. Ramsay, Fernhill Hotel; A. Stock, Stortford Lodge Hotel."
Our (Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co.) home friends, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., cable as follows:—"London, 7th June. The sales opened with a good attendance of buyers. Competition good. Selection fair. Coarse crossbred has declined 5 to 10 per cent., fine crossbred declined a shade, ditto greasy merino, and scoured merino declined 2J to 5 per cent."
