Under that date Messrs Ireland, Fraser and Co. report as follows : —The weather continues favorable. The prospects of the sugar crop are good. The total stock of sugar in hand is 56,500 tons. The export this season to New Zealand amounted to 3047 tons. There have been no clearances for New Zealand ports during the past month nor any engagements for New Zealand. Exchange, 60 days' bank credit on New Zealand, 37§ per cent, premium.
