SPORTING.
A Tisit to the Park racecourse this mcrning , showed the great improvements that have taken place since the late rain. Where the top dressing, manuring, and seed sowing have been done a strong growth of grass has resulted to an extent quite unexpected. The excavating of the lake having been completed quite a change has resulted from low parts of the ground having been filled up. The surrounding hills also present quite a changed appearance, the new grass being quite perceptible.
