About U mile. Weight not less than 10 stone"up. "Hack" shall mean any horse that has never started in a weight-f or-age or handicap race of any sort. 2.30 p.m. —Bihtiiday Handicap, of 100 soys. mile. Second horse to receive 15 soys from tho stake. 3.15 p.m. —Hack Race, of 15 soys. 1 mile. Not less than 7 stone up. "Hack " shall mean any horse that has never started in a weight-for-age or handicap race of any sort. 4.0 p.m.—Ladies' Plate, a handicap of 40 soys. l£ mile. Gentlemen riders. Minimum weight of 9 stone. 4.30 p.m.—Petane Stakes Handicap, of 40 soys. § mile. Winner in any handicap after the declaration of the weights to carry 71b penalty. CONDITIONS. No entry will be received for any race except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be settled by the Stewards,_ or whom they may appoint, and their decision on all points shall be final. All protests must bo accompanied with a deposit of 2 soys., which sum shall be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. ;Races run under the New Zealand Metropolitan Rules of Racing. Five per cent, will be deducted from tho gross amount of all stakes. All events close at 9 p.m. of the dates named at the Caledonian Hotel, Napier. DATES.
