LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Yesterday. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Local Bills Committee reported in favor of the Hastings and Cambridge Boroughs Bill. * Dr. Menziee said he had ascertained that the Pharmacy Board did not opposo the Pharmacy Act Amendment Bill, and he would take no further steps in the matter. The bill was then read a second time.
The Banks and Bankers Act Amendment Bill was read a second time. The Council wont into committee on the Counties Act Amendment Bill, and reported progress to enable a new clause which the Colonial Secretary proposed to insert to be printed. The Council adjourned at 2.45. p.m.
