PORT OF NAPIER.
The s.s. Southern Ctobs left Wellington at 4.30 p.m. yesterday, and .should arrive here about the same hour this afternoon. She will proceed Northwards at 3 p.m. tomorrow. The s.h. Fairy is now loading for Pourere and Blackhead, and will sail this evening. The s.s. Australia left Auckland yesterday evening, and will arrive Here on Fiiday inoniing early. She is announced to steam for Wellington at 3 p.m. the same day. The ketch Comet was brought inside yesterday afternoon and berthed at the breastwork wlicx'e she is novr discharging. The Invercargill,. although late in the season, will get very quick despatch, na there is now more cargo than she can take lying at the port, and it is being sent oil to her as fast as slie can take it in. Messrs Williams and Kettle alono sent off .'532 bales of wool and 113 casks of tallow yesterday. She will commenco loading frozen meat tomorrow morning. The pilot at Wairoa telegraphs that the bar is bad—blocked.
