VESSEL IN ROADSTEAD.

" "' Invercargill, ship, loading. The s.s. Wairoa, Captain Andersen, returned from Wairoa at 7 o'clock last night. The ketch Comet, Captain Burns, arrived from Timaru last night with a load of produce. She will be brought alongside the breastwork this afternoon. The s.s. Result started for Blackhead last night, but going across the bay it came on to blow from the southard, and Captain Baxter deemed it advisable to return to port. The s.s. Southern Cross leaves Wellington to-night, and is due here to-morrow afternoon. She will proceed northwards on Thursday. The schooner Circe left Oamaru on Saturday with a load of breadstuff's for this port. Tho s.s. Australia is leaving Auckland at 5 p.m., to-day. She is due here on Friday morning, and will proceed to Wellington on the same day.
