Education Office, Napier, February 21st, 1887. WANTED, for a new school to be opened shortly in the Borough of Napier—A Trained, Certificated Teacher as Principal. Applicants must be good disciplinarians and must give satisfactory evidence that they are skilful in the management, instruction, and training of young children. The school building is capable of accommodating about 200 children, but none will be admitted for the present of a standard higher than the third, as recognised under the Government departmental regulations. Salary depends upon average attendance. Payment will also be made for instructing the pupil teachers, and the person appointed will be entitled to participate in any bonus which might be granted by th>3 Board for distribution among the teachers of the education district upon the annual standard results. No house is provided, but an allowance at the rate of £40 per annum will be paid to the teacher who may be appointed—if a married man. Applications, accompanied by not more than four recent testimonials as to experience and skill, must be in the hands of the undersigned not later than WEDNESDAY, the 23rd day of March.
