. [Per United Prkss Association.] Ciiristohurch, This day. As the Penguin was coming alongside tho wharf this morning a warp got foul of tho propeller. The result was that tho stern post gavo way, and tho vessol will have to go into dry dock for repairs. Dunedin, This day. A four-roomed house, in Canougite, occupied by Mr Haro, bookbinder, was burned down early this morning. It wis insured for £100 in tho Standard office. The premises adjoining the cottages, which were slightly damaged, wero insured in tho same office, but the amount is unknown. (For continuation of news see fourth page.)
