SALVATION SCANDAL.
[To tub Editor of the Daily Telegkapij.] . Sin,—Kindly allow me to say a few words j in reply to Mr France's letter in your last ' night's issue. He wishes to infer that my last letter was written at the suggestion of Captain White. Now, Sir, "as I hope for heaven," Captain White had no more to do with that letter than I had with the recent hostilities at Ponj Deh, and as far as I know he was not aware of it until he saw it in print. I leave it to those who know me to judge as to the truth of my statement: I have no desire to enter into the details of Mr France's letter, as I know the public will take that for what it is worth ; all I have to say is this, that if he felt agrieved at being "disrated" from the treasurership he would have showed his good taste bybeing content to forward his trouble to head quarters, and not have'paraded his ill-feeling bufore the world in the way he has, especially when he professes to be such a staunch supporter of the work of salvation, which teaches its adherents to " love their onemies, etc." A perusal of the 12th chapter of St. Paul's Epistlo t<. the Romans should provo beneficial to him, particularly the verse which ends thus—■" Vengenoe is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." Mr France must also remember that there were others fit Taradalo whoso word is equally as reliable as his own, and in .conclusion- I will just quote a few lines I learned at school; which he can easily alter to meet his case, — "When next you talk of what you viow, Think others see as well as you ; , ; No wonder if you find that none -*>i*J Prefer your eyesight to their own." ; . ■ . I anij &c, R. H. Robinson,
