The Union Company's steamer Roto ■ mahana, Capt. Carey, which left Wellington at 10 o'clock last night is reported as having parsed Castle Point at 7 a.m this day, and may he expected to arrive in the roadstead at about 4 p.m. She has a considerable quantity of cargo to put out at this port, which will be transhipped to the Admiral. Her cratward passengers -will g-o off by the last launch, leaving the breastwork at 9 p.m. to-night. The New Zealand Shipping Company _s ship Mataura, Capt. Cruickshank, a synopsis of whose cargo we published some days ago, was got under weigh by the pilot at 9 o'clock last night, and sailed out of the bay for London with a light northerly breeze. The brigantine Enterprise sailed for Port Chalmers with a cargo of 1800 sleepers yesterday afternoon. The s.s. Waiora, H. Andersen, master, steamed for Wairoa at an early hour this morning, carrying cargo and passengers. The brigantine Eliza Firth, Captain Connor, sailed from the roads at an early hour this morning, in ballast, for Grcymouth. The three-masted schooner Silver Cloud, was berthed inside at 2 p.m. yesterday. The Union Company's s.s. Waihora, Captain Edie, due here from Gisborne and Auckland at daylight to-morrow morning, will be tendered as usual on arrival, but as her cargo is a large one, the last launch with the outward passengers has been put off until 10.30 a.m.
The Westport Coal Company's s.s. Orowaiti steamed from the breastwork for Greymouth at 9 a.m. this day. Messrs Charles Dolbell and Company s three-masted schooner Rio left Newcastle, New South "Wales for Napier this morning, and bringing a cargo of 500 tons of coal for her owners.
