May 7. The Standard considers that the Victorian iind Queensland loans just announced will havdly bo felt, in the present condition of the money market. Lord Randolph Churdihill is urging the members of the House of Commons to refuse to grant supplies to the Government as aprotest asrainst their action in regard to the Afghan difficulty. The debate on the policy of the Government was commenced to-day in the House of Commons, in accordance with arrangement, and was further postponed until Monday next. May 8. The death is announced, at tho ago of GS, of Earl Dudley.
