Mr Sutton seconded the motion, and in doing so he asked why the totalisator returns for the last meeting gave £574 Gs 3d. He thought tho time had come when the Ciub should pay sixpences. On one race at that meetinir £50 profit was given by tho odd money, as tenpenco was tho amount which should have been paid, calculating the return exactly. He would like to know if the proprietors of the machine got the odd money.

The Chairman said at the last meeting- the odd money was divided, the club receiving , seven-tenths of the .surplus money.

The report and balance-sheet were adopted.

The Chairman moved that the committee arc authorised to appoint three members of the club to act as trustees in whom the property of the club shall vest, ami who shall execute the proposed mortgage to the A. and P. Society.

Mr Sutton seconded the motion. ELECTION OF OI'FICE-ISEAItEES.

Tlio following , gentlemen were elected: — President, Captain Eas.scll; Treasurer, Mill. U. Eurke; Committee, Messrs Bishop, Coleman, Douglas, Lang, Allan McLean, Shrimpton, J. N. Williams, Winter, and Conroy; Messrs Cornford and Cotterill acting , as scrutineers. PRIVILEGES. Mr Sntton thought the time had arrived when some concessions should bo gaanted to members. He thought the time had como when a member's ticket should admit two ladies' with him to the course. If he was in order lie would move to that effect. Mr Brown seconded the motion. The Chairman ruled that the motion could not be put as fourteen days' notice had not been given. Mr Sutton said if the meeting were unanimous tho motion could bo put by consent, lie would modify his motion that one lady instead of two should be admitted free to tho privileges of the club. The Chairman said it would bo dangerous to allow such a precedent, and he would therefore decline to put it. Mr Sutton said ho would have given notice had he not understood that the late committee had proposed dealing- with the question. Ho gave notice of motion on the subject, and that a special meeting be called for the iirst week in June to consider the subject. l>l r Swan moved and Mr Sutton seconded, "That the Committee he instructed to consider as to i,hc advisability of causing totalisalor dividends to be calculated to the minimum of .sixpence." The motion was carried. Mr A. W. L. Cotterill hoped that some reform would be introduced into the railway management before the next meeting took place. At the last races ho had to pay a second time to get back to "town through having a totalisator dividend to get on the last race, and the train leaving too sharp. He would movo that the eommitieo interview tho Government so (hat those attending could return by miv train. Tho Chairman said tho traffic manager sfiitod on the last occasion every available oarriage was pressed into tho service. Mr Oarlile said excursionists should bo able to return by any train. Mr Knowles said there had been more red-tape on the lust occasion than previously. Mr Eurke thought if they got a return I ticket they should be allowed to return by I any train. The motion was carried as follows:— That the committee be requested to try and

make arrangements for better railway accommodation than was provided at tho Autumn Meeting, particularly in the matter of return from the course.

Mr McVay suggested that two more stiles should be put up at the railway entrance to the course.

Mr Sutton moved a vote of thanks to those who had so successfully managed the affairs of the club last year.

Tho motion was carried, and the proceedings terminated.
