BURGESS ROLL, ISSS-SG. f § iHE attention of Burgesses of the JL Borough of Napier is particularly called to the clauses of The Municipal Corporations Act, 1870, which provide that every DEFAULTER'S name Must to Omitted from the Burgess List. No " Defaulter's " name therefore can be placed upon the Burgess Roll, and not being thereon he cannot vote at any election, nor is he capable of being elected a Councillor, &c, &c. By Order M. N. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Municipal Council, held in the Council Chamber, Napier, on WEDNESDAY, the Ist April inst., it was resolved : — '' That it be a Special Order of this Council that Bye-law No. .9 of the Council of the Borough of Napier, intituled ' A Bye-law fixing the cost of Footways, &c.,' and made under the provisions of ' The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876,' be hereby repealed." Notice is further given that a Special Meeting of the Council will be held in tho Council Chamber, Napier, on WEDNESDAY, the 6th day of May next, immediately after the Ordinary Meeting of the Council, for tho purpose of confirming the above resolution. NOTICE is hereby gven that the Hastings Town Board proposes to borrow the sum of twenty thousand pounds for the purpose of carrying out a scheme for the efficient drainage of tho Town of Hastings. An annual Special Rale of one shilling in the pound on the ratable value of property within tho Hastings Town District is proposed to be levied for tho purpose of providing for payment of interest on the money to be borrowed.
