April 17-Go-Ahead, s.s., for Wellington via coastal stations.

The Union Company's s.s. Tarawera, Captain Sinclair, from tho North, anchored in the roadstead at 6.30 a.m. this day, but owing to the heavy easterly wind and sea that had sprung up during the night she was not tendered by the Boojum until 9 a.m. for mails and passengers, and by the s s Sir Donald for her cargo at 10 a.m. For tho following report of the Tarawera's passage we thank Mr D. Dalgleish her purser:—Left Auckland on the 10th at 12 30 p.m., arrived at Gisborne at 4 p.m. on the 17th, and left again at 9 p.m., arriving as above ; experienced head winds to Gisborne, thence to arrival strong easterly weather. Her outward Southern and Melbourne passengers went off at 2 p.m., and the Tarawera left at 3.15. The U.S.S. Company's s.s. Suva, Capt Hutchison, arrived herefrom the North at 5 D.m. last night, and took up her berth at the breastwork, where she is discharging her cargo to-day. Sh« is advertised to steam for Wellington at 4 p.m to-day, but as she will be unable to finish discluirgiiio- by that hour, it will probably bo to morrow morning before she gets away. She takes some 2000 sleepers for limaru, shipped by Mr W. S. Scavey. The following is a report of her passage kindly furnished by her purser :-Left Auckland on the 14th instant at 0 p.m., and after calling at Oreti Point, Wangaparoa, and Tuparoa, arrived at Gisborne at 4 a.m. on the 1 <th ; left again at 8 a.m., and arrived as above. Experienced moderate winds and tine weather throughout the trip. The ss. Go-Ahead, Capt. Plumley, steamed for Wellington and the coast at about 3 p.m. yesterday. Tho steamer Kiwi, Campbell master, was to have got away for Wellington direct at 4 p.m. this afternoon. The Union Company's steam aihora, Captain Jas. Edie, is telegraphed as having left Wellington at 0.45 p.m. last evening but had not been signalled up to tho tune our report left tho Spit, probably being delayed by the prevalent easterly weather. Should sho arrive in good time this afternoon she will be tendered as usual, her outward passengers for Northern ports and Sydney leaving the wharf at 5 p.m. # The brigantine, Jessie NiccoJ, is taking in her cargo of sheep for Sunday Island today aud expects to sail to-morrow.
