TOWNSHIP OF DANEVIRKE.. MR. EDWARD LYNDON Has received instructions to dispose of on i tho above date the 3 npOWNSHIP . OF' T) ANEVIRKE, EXTENDED, Adjoining tho Railway Station, consisting of about 70 sections, in \ and J-acre allotments. The Land is situated between the Danevirke and Tahoraite Railway Stations. The latter will be the Terminus of the Napier-Woodville Railway for some time, and will be the central station for a very large and important district. It is situated near the junction of the main road from Napier to Wellington, and the road from Tahoraite through Kaitoki and Mangatoro to Wahmi. on the East Coast. This road taps .a very large block of Crown land of excellent quality, which will shortly be thrown open for sale. There arc sovcral other large blocks of Crown lands in the vicinity of this township, which will also shortly be opened up. Around the township are somo of the finest and most extensive blocks of totara timber • to be met with in .the North Island ; two sawmills aro already at work, and others will be started shortly. This township . commences within about 3 chains of the ) Danevirke station, and extends to within about 30 chains of the Tahoraite station. As these stations are only 70 chains apart it is not likely that there will be a township at each, and thero is not tho slightest doubt that the township now offered, situated as it is between the two stations, presents an opportunity for safe investment such as has not been offered in Hawke's Bay for a long time, as from its position it cannot fail to i become an important centre, and in a short time to rival Woodville. , _ The land is cleared flat land, and is hid i down in English grass, about 7 acres being ? under crop ; the soil is of a quality not to t bo surpassed in the Province.
