The Union Company's s.s., Tarawera, Captain Sinclair, which arrived here at daylight this morning, left Auckland at .? p.m.'"on the 4th, arrived at Gisborno at 4 p.m. next day, and left again at 10 p.m. Sho was tendered at 6 a.m. by the Boojum for mails and passengers, and by the Sir Donald for cargo. The outward passengers were to have been taken out at 2 p.m., the Tarawera steaming for Melbourne and the tho south on their The steamer Thomas Russell, Captain C. Helander, arrived in the bay from Gisborne and Auckland at an early hour this morning, and was berthed inside at 9.45 a.m. She brought a number of passengers, and about 30 tons of cargo, She is to steam again on her return trip at 5 o'clock to-night. The Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross, - Captain Hutchison, got away for Gisbome, Tauranga and Auckland at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The s.s. Wairoa, Captain H. Andersen, steamed for Wairoa at 11 o'clock last night, carrying passengers and cargo. The Union Company's s.s. Te Anau, Cawtain Thomas McGee. left Wellington at 9.30 last night, and is expected to put in an appearance here between 2 and 3 o'clock this afternoon. She will bo tendered as usual for inward passengers, mails, and cargo, and at 7 o'clock to-night the former outwards for Gisborne and Auckland are announced to leave the wharf. : : The New Zealand Shipping Company s ship Wanganui, Captain Adams, cleared at tho Customs yesterday afternoon _ for 'London, and sailed at 10 o'clock last night, "taking a'cargo of four thousand six hundred and eighty-eight bales of wool and skins, and seventy-eight casks of tallow, shipped and valued asunder:— By Messrs G.
