tion in the House of Lords yesterday and passed through committee. In tho -House of Commons last night the Redistribution of Seats Bill was read a second time. . Parliament will re - assemble after the Christmas recess on February 19th. In the House of i Commons last'evening, in;reply to;a the ; Hon. Evelyn Ashley stated thatthe Cape, colonists would not becalled upon-to bear any portion of the cost of the expedition to Bechuanaland. The. Colonial Under-Secretary also stated that the Imperial i Government' would not assent to the settlement respecting Bechuanaland as effected by the Cape Government.
