The steamer Go-Ahead, Captain Plumley which left Wellington at 5.30 p.m. on Monday arrived here at 5 o'clock this morning, having called at Uriti and Castlepbint en route. She discharged her cargo, consisting of some 50 tons of transhipment goods out of the s.s. Victory, and general cargo, ot the breastwork this forenoon, and at 3 p.m. was to have steamed again for Wellington and the coast.
Tho s.s. Wairoa, Captain H. Anderson got away for Wairoa at about eleven o'clock fast night with a good complement of cargo and passengers. The steamer Sir Donald, Capt. J. Qumlan, returned from Waimarama at 11 o'clock this forenoon with a cargo of wool, which she took straight alongside tho ship Euterpe. The launch Bella, Capfc. Green, steamed for Mohaka last night for a load of wool. Tho Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Hutchison, is telegraphed as having left Wellington at 3.30 p.m. yesterday, and should arrivo here about the same hour to-day. Sho will discharge inside, nndat 3 p.m. to-morrow is announced to steam for Gisborne and Auckland.

Wellington, This day. The steamer Hawca which arrived from Lyttelton this morning had a narrow escape from running ashore! Tho weather avhb thick and foggy. The vessel was going dead slow, and the flood tide carried her out of her course; heaved the lead and found 90 fathoms; a few minutes later found seventeen, and saw rocks close to the vessel; went full speed astern, and managed to get clear. ■ The spot where the rocks were seen was Sinclair Head.
