Blenheim, This day. It is intensely cold, with showers of rain and sleet. The weather is stormy and unsettled. Telegraph communication is interrupted south of Kaikoura, and no message can be sent to Christchurch or Dunedin. Oamaru, This day. There was a slight fall of snow this morning, and the weather is intensely cold and unsettled. Dunedin, This day. There was n very heavy fall of snow last night, and to-day it is quite wintry.
