Tho Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross is due hero from Gisborne and Auckland to-morroAV morning. She will discharge inside during the forenoon, and at 2 p.m. is announced to steam on her course for Wellington. The s.s. Wairoa, Captain H. Anderson, got back from Wairoa at 8 o'clock last night, bringing several passengers and some hides, sheepskins, and empty casks as cargo. Sho is to leave again for the same destination to-morroiv night.

Messrs Richardson and Co.'s steamers Weka aud Fairj f took their departure for coastal stations last night, taking good cargoes. The p.s. Manaia, Captain W. E. Baxter, arrived in port from Wairoa at about 8 o'clock last evening, bringing several passengers. Owing to a detention at Russell the Union Company's s.s. Waihora will not be leaving Auckland until midday to-morrow, so that it Avill thus be Sunday beforo she can arrive here.
