BOROUGH PUBLIC WORKS.
Tho Public Works Committee of the ' Municipal Council held their usual meeting last evening, and agreed to recommend the Council as follows : — 1. That Crs. Margoliouth and Neal and tho Town Clerk be a committee to report on clauses 1, 2, 8, and 5 of Mr Lamb's report. 2. That clause 4 of Mr Lamb's report be A. not adopted. 3. That tho overseer's report re Thompson road be adopted. 4. That a "bonus of £10 bo granted to Mr Parker for bis past services as returning officer.
5. That clause 2 of the overseer's report re Goldsmith road be adopted and authorised. G. That tenders lie invited for repairs to Wellesley road, and that the Government be requested to remove tbe cottage on Millerstreet.
7. That clause 4 of the overseer's report re Priestley road bo adopted and authorised. 8. That persons using bicylos or tricycles bo Avarncd that they must carry bells and lamps, or they will not bo allowed to use such vehicles Avithin the boundaries of the borough.
