COFFEE PALACE TO BE SOLD.
Invercargill, This day. Tho annual meeting of the Invercargill Coffee Palace Company was held on Thursday. It was resolved to sell the building, which lias just been completed. The cause of this action is that tho shares have not been taken up as was expected, and about £3000 is required to carry on and furnish the building. The temperance pcojile have been lukewarm on the subject, owing to an arrangement having been made to lease half of tho building to a private club, which would have begun a bar. The building is a very fine one, and in the best possible position.
