MAILS CLOSE For Cisbornc and Auckland, per Southern Cross, on Thursday, at 1 p.m. The s.s. Tongariro leaves Lyttclton for London (via Rio do Janiero) on the 29th instant. For the Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c., via San Francisco, on Saturday, sth January, at noon. A steamer of the Orient line leaves Melbourne for London on the 28th instant, and will be due in London on sth Feb. Correspondence to be specially addressed per Orient steamer, postage Sd per half-ounce. J. Gnußß, Chief Postmaster.
