The five cent. Capo loan of £.">,000,000 has been moro than covered. There were 700 tenders, amounting in the aggregate to six and a half millions. The minimum was OS, and tenders at ;C9S lf» will receive allotment in full, and those at £08 0s Gd will get 5 per cent, of the amount applied for. The Pall Mall Gazette says that federation must eventually tend to materially improve the financial position of the soy eral colonies.
It is reported that an Invincible Brigade hits been elected and despatched for the purpose af avenging the conviction of Carey's murderer, O'Donnell._ The police precautions for guarding Hawardcu, the Premier's scat, have been hastily renewed, and all the Irish quarters in London are now closely watched.
December 19. The Chinese have destroyed several chapels in Canton. Tho Now York dynamiters aro incensed at the execution of O'Donnell, and threaten to murder a number of British officials.
