Tho first sailing match of the season Avas sailed in tho inner harbor on Saturday aftornoon, but OAving to the inclemency of tho weather only thrco boats camo up to scratch, the Wave Queen, Revenge, and Osprey. There Avas a strong south-oast breeze blowing, and the race between the Wave Queen and the Revenge Avas very closo. They passed the starting buoy on the first round almost together, with the Osprey some distance behind. In the second round the AVave Queen took the lead, and kept it till within half a mile of tho finishing point, when tho wind falling a little light tho Revenge managed to get to windward of her, arriving homo a minute ahead of tho AVave Queen, and Jifteen minutes ahead of the Osprey. At the inquest held at the Lunatic Asylum on Saturday afternoon before Captain Prccco, on the body of Amy Ayers, lato of Hampden, the evidence taken disclosed the fact that the accommodation at the asylum is altogether insufficient for the number of patients. Mr AY. Miller, the superintendent of the asylum, stated that there Avas sleeping accommodation for about 19 patients altogether, but that the asylum contained 30 inmates. Captain Prccco remarked that he had recently drawn the attention of the Government to tho crowded state of the asylum, and the insufficient staff provided. The p\idence of Dr. Ditchings Avas to the effect that deceased had been treated for chronic bronchitis for some months past, and died on Friday tho 9th. The jury returned a verdict of "Death from natural causes," and added a rider that the attention of the Government should be drawn to the insufficient accommodation for patients in the asylum.
