The Methodist Church bazaar will be open for the last time in the Protestant Hall to-night, and the balance of the goods will be sold by auction. Duties will be resumed at the Napier Commercial Academy ou Monday morning and evening as usual. Messrs Banner and Liddle sell at_ their rooms on Monday, at 2 p.m., the privileges of the Petane races. Messrs Banner and Liddle sell at their rooms on Tuesday household furniture, clocks, tea, boilers, Sec. Mr Lyndon sells at his auction mart on Wednesday raisins, currant?, ale and stout, preserved peaches, men's and boys' clothing, &c. Messrs Banner and Liddlo sell .it their Spit stores on Wednesday next, without reserve, the cargo boat Esk. Messrs M. R. Miller and Potts publish particulars of the cattle to bo disposed of by auction without reserve at Beccroft's yards, Hastinss, on Thursday next. Mr H. Williams, ironmonger, has on sale large quantities of hose pipe, hose pipe fittings, and garden fountain designs. The programme of the Hawko's Bay Jockey Club's autumn race meeting, with dates of nomination, acceptance, Sec, is published. Notice of application for the transfer of the license of the Caledonian Hotel from Richard Barrows to Arthur McCartney, together with the householders' certificate in favor thereof, is published. Mr J. A. Cunningham, Rakamoana, Pohui, wants alternative tenders for carting wool from foot of Kaiwaka cutting or from Marshall's to the Spit. Mr W. Rathbone, Waipawa, has just opened out several shipments of new goods for the summer season, being direct importations from London, Glasgow, and Bradford. Mr McGlashan'e sparkling horchound beer is a cool drink and a splendid tonic for the summer season. In the millinery department Messrs Blythe and Co. stand unrivalled for style, work, and moderate charges. A number of new advertisements will be found in our " Wanted " column.
