BOMBAY.
October 31. Intelligence is to hand that a rebellion, under the leadership of the Sultan's brother, has broken out in Oman, a minor kingdom in the south-east portiou of Arabia. Tho rebels laid siege to Muscat, the capital, and camped in great force around the city. Tho Imaun (Sultan) has appealed to the commander of 11.M.5. Philomel, 3 guns, for assistance, which has been granted, and according to the latest accounts that snip was engaged shelling the position occupied by tho besiegers near Muscat.
