The Rifle Volunteers parade for company drill on vacant ground adjoining the orderly room at 7.45 to-night.
The Loyal Napier Lodge of Oddfellows hold their usual fortnightly meeting at 8 o'clock to-night in the lodge-room. Tho Artillery Volunteers assemble for gun drill at the gun shed at 8 to-night. A lodge of the Ancient Order of Druids will bo opened in the Oddfellows' Hall, Hastings, at 8 o'clock to-night, and a special train in connection therewith leaves Napier at 7 o'clock, returning after the completion of the ceremony. Messrs Banner and Liddle sell Hobart apples and lollies without reserve at their rooms at 11 a.m. to-morrow.
Separate tenders for furnishing, and for ironmongery, cutlery, &c, for the now Girls' High School, will bo received by Mr Lamb up to noon to-morrow. Tenders for the supply of corn sacks will be received at tho Hawke's Bay County office up to noon to-morrow. The Methodist Free Church bazaar will be opened in the Protestant Hall at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow. An entertainment in aid of the Christmas Tree fund will be given in the Wesloyan school-room to-morrow evening. The brethren of the Scinde Lodge of Freemasons hold their regular monthly meeting to-morrow evening. The regular meeting of Lodge Alpha, Loyal United Friends, will be held in the Foresters' Hall to-morrow evening. Mr Monteith will sell the privileges of the Eriendly Societies sports at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday. Entries for the Napier Rowing Club's trial fours close at tho Criterion Hotel on Monday evening next. A summoned meeting of St. John's Branch, No. 03, H.A.C.8.5., is convened for Wednesday evening next, at the usual time and place. Mr Monteith disposes of hacks, light harness, medium draughts, and other horses at his stock sale at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday. An extraordinary meeting of the shareholders of tho Southern Cross Petroleum Company is convened to be held in Christchurch on the evening of 2Gth November. The programme of tho Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Boxing, Day meeting, together with dates of nomination, acceptance, &c, is published. Mr H. Williams, ironmonger, has just landed a shipment of " Light of tho Age " kerosene and a largo quantity of American goodsTho Registrar of the Supremo Court declares the deed of arrangement made by Mr J. Skinner with his creditors to be completely executed. If the gentleman who found five felt hats on Fitzroy or Milton, roads yesterday will
return same to Messrs Magill and Campbell, Emerson-street, he will be rewarded. "A.E," Dunedin, wants to lease, with purchasing clause, a block of land near Napier capable of carrying from 3000 to 5000 sheep. Messrs C. Dolbel and Co. have a full cargo of drain pipes, bends, junctions, and syphons now landing and on sale ex Columbia from Auckland Tho next of the New Zealand Shipping Company's direct line of steamers to London will be the lonic, which will be despatched from Lyttelton about 22nd November. A number of new advertisements will be found in our " Wanted " column.
