AVanoaxui, This day. The vital statistics for tho month of September were:—Births, 23; marriages, S ; deaths, 2. Christchuech, This day. Tho births in Christchurch and district last month were 151, a decrease of 32 on tho same month last year. The marriages and deaths, however, show favorable returns, tho former being 37 against 28, and tho latter 51 against 03. Tho totals for the three quarters of the present year areBirths, 1475; marriages, 09; deaths, GOl Timaku, This day. The following are the vital statistics for September:—Births, 31; marriages, 1; deaths, 17. Of tho deaths five arc those of young children from whooping cough and three from other lung diseases.
