ADELAIDE.
This day. In the Legislative Assembly last night the Government was defeated on the proposed taxation scheme by IS to 13 votes. Tlio House stiinds adjourned to Tuesday next. The Treasurer announced that the quarter's receipts wore found to be .£.50,000 below the estimate, and he expected that it would be necessary to modify tlio taxation proposal. It is not probable that the Government will seek a dissolution of Parliament.
