[By Cable.] London, September 21. Consols have advanced one-eighth, and are now quoted at 101}. New Zealand securities aro quoted to-day as follows;— Five per cent 10-10 loan, 103?,-; five per cent ISB9 loan, 106; four ancfa half per cent 1870-1801 loan, 102J ; four per cent inscribed stock, 100J-. The market rate of discount has advanced one-eighth, and is now 2jj- per cent; bank rate, 3),-. The grain mr.rkot has an upward tendency. Adelaide wheat, ex-store, lias advanced to 45/6; New Zealand ditto remains at 40/- to 11,'- ; off coast cargoes of New Zealand wheat aro quoted at 41/- ; Adelaide Hour, ox-store, 33 -. Australian tallow, best beef 40/-, and best mutton 41/-. Mklboukn-k, Tuesday. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of Now Zealand reports of tlie local grain market .......wi.followo !.._Thp. wheat market is depressed, shipping parcels realising 4/10, ana-fowl's wheat 3/0 to 4/4 ; malting barley 5/- to 5/9, with market sluggish ; New Zealand oats are in fair demand, and feeding sorts are - worth 3/- to 3/2, and milling ditto 3/2 to 3/3 ; New Zealand oats, under bond, 2/3 to 2/5.
