LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Friday.
The Council met at 2.30 p.m. THE TAIAROA LAND BILL. The Taiaroa Land Bill Avas read a second time.
THE HONORARIUM. MrPharazyn moved another resolution in favor of abolishing the honorarium after the closo of tho present Parliament, but the motion was lost after a personal debato by }i to i.
Mr Menzics moved the second reading of the School Committee Election Bill. Mr Oliver, Sir George Whitmore, Dr. Pollen,and Mr Baillic opposed the bill, and Mr Lahman supported it. Tho bill Avas read a second time.
