I , nday. The Council mot at 2.30 p.m. tub iioxokaeium:. Mr Pharazyn moved that the payment of honorarium to members of tho Council should cease with the present session. ' Mr Reynolds, Mr Richmond, Mr Nurse, and Colonel Brett opposed the motion, the latter moving the previous question. Mr Peacock supported the original motion. On a division tho previous question was carried by 25 to 6. Tho minority consisted ) of Messrs Dignan, Holmes, Martin, Peacock, Pharazyn, and Williamson.
