In consequence of the bad weather last night the inspection of the Napier Volunteers is postponed till Wednesday evening next. A certificated mistress is required for the Niipier district school. Messrs Hoadley, Lyon and Co. sell 50 sections in the township of Hastings, the property of Mr James Boyle, early in August. The Under-Sccrctary for Public Works gives notice that workmen employed on contracts let by Public Works Department must be paid at least every fortnight in full in the current coin of the colony, or contractors leave themselves liable for a heavy penalty. The Town Clerk notifies that all persons infringing Bye-Law No. 12, relative to hawker's and pcdlers, will be prosecuted. Mr M. R. Miller has freehold and leasehold runs for sale in this and adjoining , provincial districts, and town and rural sections in Napier, Hastings, Kaikora, Waipawa, Orrnondville, Woodville, &c. Mr John Chambers, junr., invites tenders for the construction of a bridge over the Deep Gully between liavelock and To Mata.
Mr A. T. Danvers informs Daniel Dawkes that if the horse left by him in his charge is not redeemed within fourteen days, and expenses paid, it will be sold. Mrs Barry has a four-roomed house and store at Taradale to let.
Mr C. R. Taylor, Loot and shoe maker, Hustings, has enlarged his premises, and now otters tho largest assortment of boots and shoes in Hawke's Ba.y.
A.8.A., care of MrM. R. Miller, wants a manager or managing' partner to take the management of a sheep run. Messrs Ruddock and Fryer, iron and hardware merchants, announce in our Supplement to day tho arrival of v <iuantity of new goods, and of further shipments to arrive.
Mrs Barry. Taradale, has Hobart seed potatoes for sale. Mr M. R. Miller has store and fat cattle, dahy cows, and draught horses and mares for sale. i
Messrs Blytho and Co. arc rapidly sellingthe last thousand of the chenille squares. Mr J. Goddard, Haveluck Nurseries, has Ixop sets on sale. A number of new advertisements will be found in our "Wanted " column.
