THE DUNEDIN GAOL INQUIRY.

The Dunedin Gaol Commission have continued taking evidence. The long sentenco prisoner Garrett avus examined. He deposed to irregularities in the gaol, and to having been frequently assaulted by Caldwell in the presence of the visiting justices and warders. Ho also had seen CaldAA'cll and tho Avarders on seA'eral occasions in a state of intoxication.
