SEALED TENDERS for tbe Lease of 2509 acres, being Section 1, Block VIII, Pohui Survey District, for a period of twenty-one years, will be received at this Office up to Noon of THURSDAY, the 19th day of July next. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 5 soy., which sum shall bo forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. All nominations, acceptances, kc, accompanied by tho necessary amount in cash, must bo addressed to the secretary, and left at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, not later than 8 p.m. on tho several specified dates. General entry night, Tuesday, September 25. Tho rules ancl Avcights of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club, as in force at the date of the meeting, will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will bo deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes.
