CAPTURE OF AN ESCAPED PRISONER
Dunedin, Tliis day
Vickers, the escapee from gaol, was captured at li o'clock yesterday afternoon by Constable Meldruni who hud been in the saddle since G a.m. Viekers was living in the fern at Mullocky Gully, nearly twenty miles from Dunedin. The constable covered him with a revolver, and he offered no resistance. At the City Court to-day Viekers was committed for trial for escaping from gaol.
