Wellington, This clay. The polic3 yesterday visited the various hairdressing, and tobacconists' shops, ordering them to close their premises. It is understood that this action has been taken under an English Act of Charles 11, which provides that no person shall follow his ordinary vocations on the Sabbath unless for charity or in case of necessity. Tho police will prosecute the owners of any shops open next Sunday.
