DESTRUCTIVE FIRE NEAR WELLINGTON.
AVellington, This da)-. A fire broke out last night in Messrs J. and H. Barber's boiling-down AVorks and slaughter-yards at Ngahauranga, Avhich, along Avith the plant, Avas completely destroyed. Nothing but the boilers arc left standing, and it Avas Avith great difficulty that Mr Tyor's felhnongery ivas
saved. The origin is unknoAvn, but it is supposed that a spark Avas bloAvn out from the fire under one of the vats. The premises Avere insured in the National and South British offices, but the amounts are HOt yet known.
